◆JICA Papua New Guinea： Hundreds of Students Join SPOGOMI Competition in Alotau, PNG
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Alotau Goes Green with SPOGOMI! More than 400 students from three primary schools teamed up for a fun and energetic SPOGOMI competition on World Environment Day. Joined by teachers, families, and local leaders, participants collected an amazing 370 kg of litter in just one hour. By turning clean-up into a points-based challenge, students put their environmental lessons into action, with one winning team cleverly targeting cigarette butts for extra points. The event boosted community spirit, raised awareness about waste issues, and sparked interest in expanding SPOGOMI activities across Alotau. Mr. Bigolale, a former KCCP participant, and Mr. Koki, a JICA Volunteer, were the key planners and organizers of the event.

◆ JICA Jordan： From KCCP to Inclusive Agriculture in Jordan
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A Jordan Office recently joined the launch of an FAO project promoting inclusive agriculture in Jordan. A highlight of the initiative was an accessible greenhouse featuring adjustable-height cultivation systems, designed to make farming more accessible for persons with physical disabilities.
What made the event even more special was seeing several former KCCP participants playing key roles in the project. From the researcher who developed the greenhouse, to an FAO officer supporting the initiative, and a government official bringing the perspective of end users, each was contributing in their own way.
The FAO officer shared that her experience in Japan expanded not only her technical knowledge but also her professional outlook. Seeing former participants making a difference across sectors was a wonderful reminder that the impact of training continues long after participants return home. Together, they are helping build a more inclusive and sustainable future.
