Centered on Japan’s Satoyama and Satoumi approach, the program showcased how harmony between human beings and nature supports sustainable livelihoods in costal areas. Participants explored seafood markets, oyster farming, and community-led resource management in Ishikawa and Toyama prefecture, gaining insights on balancing marine conservation with coastal economic growth.
