◆ Message from Hokkaido Center
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Japan is home to about 7% of the world’s active volcanoes, with Hokkaido being one of the most volcanically active regions. JICA Hokkaido Center（Sapporo） offers Japan’s only specialized Knowledge Co-Creation program on volcanic disaster prevention. So far, around 120 participants from nine Latin American countries have joined. The program includes international symposiums where JICA participants and Japanese experts share case studies, fostering mutual understanding. JICA continues to promote new initiatives and strengthen global human networks.
